With over 14 years of experience spanning emergency medicine, primary care, and integrative care, Carolyn brings a rare blend of clinical depth and whole-person insight to our growing North Carolina community.
A Strong Foundation in Acute & Primary Care
Carolyn began her healthcare career in high-intensity emergency departments in California, where she developed strong assessment skills and a deep understanding of complex medical needs. Her work at Kaiser Permanente and Kaweah Delta Medical Center gave her firsthand insight into the gaps many patients face in traditional healthcare — especially the lack of attention to long-term healing and prevention.
She later expanded her practice into primary care, serving patients of all ages at West Cary Family Physicians and Thomasville Medical Associates. There, Carolyn saw how many chronic symptoms were rooted in deeper imbalances that standard medicine often overlooked. This realization ultimately led her to functional medicine.
Advanced Training in Functional Medicine
Dedicated to moving beyond symptom management, Carolyn completed extensive training through the Institute for Functional Medicine, including coursework in:

- Lifestyle-based clinical interventions
