Baked Apple

Serves 1, Vegetarian, GDRx Veggie Week


  • 1 Apple (any variety)
  • Almond butter (1 tsp)
  • Honey
  • Cinnamon
  • Sea salt


Preheat oven to 325°F. Rinse apple with water and dry. Remove the apple’s core from the top, making sure not to cut all the way to the bottom (you are creating a bowl). In a small bowl, add almond butter, honey to taste, cinnamon to taste, and salt to taste, then mix. Add the mixture to the cored apple “bowl.” Fill a soufflé dish or other small baking dish with a few tablespoons of water and place the apple inside. Place on a baking pan and bake until the apple is tender and the skin looks slightly wrinkled.
