Milani Philip, FNP-BC, started her career in medicine, in 2007, as a CNA in the orthopedic unit before obtaining her BSN and moving into the orthopedic/surgical care center. After obtaining her MSN degree and FNP certification from Olivet Nazarene University, she worked in psychiatry, caring for individuals in underserved communities and long-term care facilities. Milani’s diverse background has granted her experience in treating patients with substance abuse and severe persistent mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, OCD, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, trauma and PTSD.
Milani chose to practice functional and integrative medicine because she has always had a passion for finding the root cause of her patient’s health conditions. She believes there are many aspects providers have to take into account when caring for patients. Factors such as; patient’s environment, lifestyle, genetics, exercise, diet, and sleep patterns are vital when creating a treatment plan.
Milani lives by the motto: “treat others how you would like to be treated” especially when it comes to her patients. She enjoys working collaboratively with the patient and others involved in the care their care to provide the best treatment plan. Milani strives for the best health outcome for her patients and is happy to work with Forum Health, where her care standards are shared and celebrated.
