Led by Dr. Randy Birken, this facility offers treatments such as Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, Medical Weight Loss, Aesthetics, Cool Sculpting, and Thermiva for Vaginal Rejuvenation.

Providers work with their patients to create personalized care plans and treat ailments such as Hormone Imbalance, Weight Gain and Obesity and Aging Skin. Our exceptionally trained staff are here to help improve the health and well-being of the community they work and live in.

Meet Our Providers

Dr. Randy Birken Bio

Dr. Randy Birken completed his residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine in 1980 and served as Chief Resident in his last year. While in private practice, Dr. Birken continued his teaching responsibilities as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine.

In 1989, Dr. Birken completed his subspecialty training in uro-gynecology at the University of California and then devoted his practice to pelvic reconstructive surgery while teaching physician residents at Baylor College of Medicine.

In 1997, Dr. Birken completed his master’s in liberal arts and literature from Houston Baptist University and taught undergraduate composition rhetoric on the weekends. He has published five books including The Bio-Identical Way: Patient Profiles in Natural Hormone Optimization.

In 2000, Dr. Birken completed additional training in Bio-Identical Hormone Optimization with a nationally known teacher, Neal Rouzier, MD. A few years later, he decided to treat men as well as women and continues to see over 40 new patients per month. He is on the medical advisory committee for BioTe Medical, teaches new physicians on hormone optimization, and lectures on the health benefits of plant-based, compounded hormones. He is certified in Advanced Bio-Identical Hormone Optimization with Worldlink Health and received additional training in Age Management Medicine with the Cenegenics Research and Educational Foundation.

In addition, Dr. Birken completed a Wilderness Medicine Certification with the University of Colorado and has also completed a certification program on Healthcare Economics with the Harvard Business School.

Dr. Birken is licensed in both Texas and Colorado and has offices in The Woodlands, Texas and Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Dr. Birken also volunteers at the Interfaith Clinic in The Woodlands, providing care for indigent patients, and serves on medical missionary programs in Guatemala. He and his wife, Liz, are active snow skiers, cyclists, mountain hikers, and yoga practitioners. They are devoted to their adult children, 3 grandchildren, and their golden doodle, Piper.

Dr. Birken believes in the statement from Dr. William Osler, the father of American medicine who said, “The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.”

Diane King Bio

Diane is a native of Houston and has been a women’s health nurse practitioner for many years. She received both her R.N. and Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.

As a reproductive health practitioner, Diane embraces the concepts of wellness and hormone optimization while promoting preventative health and education for both men and women. She, her husband, and two sons live in The Woodlands.

Lesley Launikitis Bio

Lesley Launikitis, MSN, WHNP-BC, is a Certified Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner based in Montgomery, Texas. With over two decades of nursing experience and a Master’s degree in Nursing from The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, she specializes in bioidentical hormones, weight loss, preventative medicine, and aesthetics, including filler and Dysport treatments. Her dedication to improving women’s health and her passion for the field are evident in her nearly 7 years of service at Birken Medical Aesthetics. Outside of work, Lesley enjoys outdoor adventures, fitness, cooking, and quality time with her husband and two children.

Amy Finnie Bio

Amy Finnie, RN is a seasoned nurse with 21 years of experience in the healthcare industry. With a deep appreciation and passion for the intricacies of aesthetics, Amy finds fulfillment in guiding patients on their journey to looking and feeling their best. Her approach is to blend expertise with empathy, ensuring each patient receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs. Together with Amy, patients can embark on a journey towards radiant health and timeless beauty.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Amy enjoys spending quality time with loved ones to explore new destinations. She is particularly passionate about health and fitness, which naturally aligns with her dedication to aesthetics.

Our Approach

Our programs are all about reversing and slowing the aging process, preventing disease and treating chronically ill patients. We utilize a three-pronged approach:

Firstly, we equip patients with the knowledge that is required to take charge of their health and achieve optimal well-being.

Secondly, we focus on disease prevention by providing a thorough evaluation using comprehensive, advanced testing and diagnostics and the information provided on the patient’s health history form.

And finally, we work with patients to implement a rejuvenation program that consists of various science-based treatments that reduce cellular degeneration, promote tissue regeneration and healing as well as slowing down the aging process.

We do NOT replace the role of the family physician, instead we work with primary care physicians, internists and other medical professionals to provide the optimum in integrated care. We consider each and every individual as physiologically unique, and we do not subscribe to a “one size fits all” approach. Our programs focus on a customized approach that will address risk factors that, if avoided or modified, could have beneficial effects for reducing the incidence of and premature mortality from the leading chronic conditions.
