Caitlin is a Nurse Practitioner with a passion for Functional Medicine and helping her patients to feel and look their best. Her passion for functional medicine sparked when she was caring for patients as a Registered Nurse discovering many patients who were not finding answers or fell through the cracks of conventional medicine. She understood the importance of treating the whole being and looking for the root cause of illness instead of just treating the symptoms. She also had personal experience dealing with PCOS and a family history of autoimmune disease and found functional medicine to be key in the road to healing. This geared her to further her career to become a provider with the intention to help her patients find optimal health and wellness.
She is experienced in Functional medicine and Regenerative medicine as well as different settings including inpatient care, primary care, palliative care, and urgent care, where she has gained knowledge and experience to mold her integrative career. She prides herself in being a patient advocate and the teamwork approach she utilizes to get the best patient outcomes.
When she is not caring for patients she is spending time with her husband, family, friends, and of course her 2 dogs. She enjoys going to concerts, traveling, or just being present in the moment. She also has a passion for exercise, athletics, and weight lifting.
She received her BSN, RN from Carlow University in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania in 2013 and obtained her MSN, FNP from Chamberlain University in 2019. She is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is continuing her education and is currently enrolled in the Institute for Functional Medicine’s Certification Program.
