Forum Health Ketamine Veteran Program

Helping veterans break free from PTSD, Depression and Pain.

Ketamine-assisted therapy allows veterans to process trauma experienced during service and rebuild new neural connections for full-body healing and long-term positive changes.

What is Ketamine-Assisted Therapy?

Ketamine is a safe, FDA-approved dissociative medication for treatment-resistant mood disorders, PTSD, and chronic pain. When paired with therapy, ketamine allows you to work through subconscious, repressed feelings that underlie unproductive behavior patterns, poor mental and emotional functioning and unhealthy coping mechanisms.  It expedites the healing process to promote calm, openness and empowerment.

How Can Veterans Benefit?

Veterans who experience life-threatening situations while serving our country can inherit trauma that lasts a lifetime and is challenging to manage emotionally. Ketamine therapy can help veterans process this trauma and break free from debilitating symptoms, including:

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Nightmares
  • Unwanted memories
  • Insomnia
  • Chronic pain
  • Irritability
  • Emotional reactivity
  • Addiction/Alcohol abuse
  • Aggressive behavior
  • Avoidance of triggers

Why Partner with Us?

  • Expert-led national program by Program Director Shilpa P. Saxena, MD and Assistant Program Director Julie Hamilton, NP who has overseen over 2,500 ketamine infusions and specializes in the treatment of mood disorders and chronic pain.

  • We understand the importance of nuanced dosing, which is the key to long-term healing. We are not a one-size-fits-all clinic. When determining your dose, we take into consideration many factors like age, metabolism, lifestyle, medications that may increase or decrease sensitivity to ketamine, duration of symptoms, etc.

  • Experienced medical technicians supervise the infusion to ensure safety and comfort.

  • Highly trained, trauma-informed guides are in the room, physically or virtually, to lead patients through the session and post-session integration. Our guide help integrate the content that comes up during the session into the patient’s life. A ketamine experience without integration is just an experience. The long-term benefits come from applying new insight into your life.

  • Integrative mind-body connection and root-cause approach to care to promote full-body healing.
