Pumpkin Spice Latte: A Healthier Fall Favorite

healthy-pumpkin-spice-latte-recipe

Traditional pumpkin spice lattes can pack in upwards of 50 grams of sugar and hundreds of empty calories. This version? It’s naturally sweetened, dairy-free, and uses real pumpkin for added fiber and nutrients. Plus, you have complete control over every ingredient that goes into your cup.

What You'll Need:

  • 8 oz of freshly brewed coffee (or pull 1-2 espresso shots if you’re feeling fancy)
  • ½ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or any plant-based milk you prefer)
  • 3 tablespoons pure pumpkin puree (canned works great, or make your own)
  • ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice blend
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons pure maple syrup (adjust to your sweetness preference)
  • A light dusting of ground cinnamon for garnish

How to Make It

  1. Start by combining your almond milk and pumpkin puree in a small pot or microwave-safe container, whisking them together until smooth.
  2. Gently warm the mixture on your stovetop over medium heat, or zap it in the microwave for about 30-45 seconds. You want it nice and warm, but don’t let it come to a boil.
  3. Once heated, take it off the heat and mix in your vanilla extract, pumpkin pie spice, and maple syrup.
  4. Here’s where the magic happens: grab a handheld milk frother or toss everything into a blender and froth it up for about 30 seconds until you get a gorgeous, foamy texture.
  5. Pour your hot coffee into your favorite oversized mug, then slowly add your frothy pumpkin milk on top. Finish with a sprinkle of cinnamon, and voilà—you’ve got yourself a café-worthy drink without ever leaving your kitchen.
